Prideindex - 5 Questions with the Men of Rainbow

Rainbow (MOR), has a full schedule of events planned for the 1st quarter of 2006. With the upcoming Black Gay Pride season, which begins in April in Philadelphia then kicks into high gear after the Memorial Day holiday, just around the corner MOR is poised to take the country by storm.

LEGENDS: What are your plans for the upcoming Black Gay Pride Season, can I expect to see MOR perform across the country in various venues?
MOR: Well, we’re planning to hit all the Black Prides in the USA. We are already booked for Charlotte in June 2006, Baltimore in October 2006 and DC in May 2006. We’re currently working on Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, Seattle, Dallas and Houston.

LEGENDS: Can you tell us more about Marquis, the newest member of the Rainbow family?
MOR: Marquis Rainbow is an entertainer, pageant boy, and exotic dancer. He’s a full time federal employee and entertains at night. Marquis is new to the pageant circuit; he has competed for Mr. Club Bunns where he placed as 1st Alternate in 2005. He’s traveled the country as an exotic dancer and currently is available for private parties.

LEGENDS: Are there any plans in the works for Marquis to compete anywhere else? If so where and when?
MOR: We’re preparing him to run in the newcomer circuit of the pageantry systems but until then we will be taking him to a few upcoming pageants for research and training - unfortunately we will not say exactly where he will compete.

LEGENDS: Does Marquis feel any pressure to perform as the newest member of the group?
FROM MARQUIS: No I never feel pressured to perform, I always like performing. When I was a child I would pretend that I was performing in front of an audience with my sister. I’ve always dreamed about me being a star. I was born to entertain; I’ve been doing it for about 5 yrs now and counting, and will be doing it for a while. I greatly appreciatedthe MOR for letting me be a part of such a loving family and I'm looking forward to our future endeavors.

LEGENDS: Describe MOR's plans for the future and/or for growth.
MOR: MOR's plans for the future include 7 points, MOR plans to acquire 2 more female members (a fem girl and a dom girl) to make the family complete.

We plan to tour the country as entertainers at over 60 prides this year.

We (Marlowe, Eric & Roy) plan to tour the country as live singers and promote our CD single and record more songs to make a complete album.

We plan to take over the pageant world and break records with the most titles ever acquired by a family/group or person.

We plan to storm the ball scene and win every grand prize category but it has to be $2000 or more in order for us to compete.

We plan to produce 4 major Rainbow Mafia events to promote our accomplishments and increase community awareness.

We plan for expand the Rainbow Mafia into a full time business venture that pays all members a full time salary.
