There are over 200 houses, some are still active and many have closed.<p> Houses names fall into 3 different categories, they are:  (A) Fashion Designer's Name is used to describe a house whose name is taken from a real life fashion designer. (Example: house of Manolo-Blahnik.)  (B.) Made up Name is used to describe a house whose name is made up or the spelling variation, an expletive or an acronym. (Examples: house of Ga'dammit, SOS (Shade of Shade), MADORI, EMOGH, JAPAN.  (C.) For lack of a better term we'll classify the third category as "real names houses." Real names are used to describe houses that are either taken from the English language dictionary; it could be someone's last name, the name of product or place. (Examples: house of Adonis, Apocalypse, Cairo, Clinique, Diamonds, Enigma Field, Milan, Omni, Prestige, Prodigy, Royalty, Unity)
